Wiltshire’s Family Information Service provides free and impartial information, support and advice to parents and carers of all children and young people on any aspect of parenting and family life and holds details of all childcare providers.
This site can help you make good choices for your children, details available financial support for families and addresses some of the challenges which can affect families, for example, bullying, exclusion, bereavement.
In addition we provide a LoCall helpline on 08457 585072 which offers you:
- Immediate access to a trained Information Worker from 8:00am to 6:00pm who will listen to your needs and help you make decisions.
- Details of all registered childcare including information on school pick ups, vacancies, experience of special needs, anti social hours, pets etc.
- Access to our Estimator which gives a guide to your entitlement to Tax Credits and Childcare Vouchers.
- Details of our childcare chats and free taster sessions.
- The opportunity to receive free copies from our extensive resources of leaflets, packs, publications, booklets and web pages on behaviour, legal issues, lone parent support, special educational needs and disability and many others.
