If your family has a low income you may be entitled to Healthy Start Vouchers.
Healthy Start Vouchers are available to pregnant women and families with children under 4.
To qualify for the vouchers you or your family need to be in receipt of:
- Income Support
- Income based Jobseekers allowance
- Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit unless their family is receiving working tax run on only*) with an income of £16.040 or less.
*working tax credit run on is the Working Tax Credit received in the four weeks immediately after stopping work for 16 hours or more per week.
All pregnant women under the age of 18 also qualify whether or not they are on benefits.
Healthy Start Vouchers can be exchanged for milk, fresh fruit and vegetables or instant formula milk in registered shops.
